THE CHALLENGE

To generate awareness and buzz, to launch, and to sustain a brand new drama amidst a sea of quality dramas in the marketplace. Secondarily, to elevate “Colony” above the typical alien-invasion shows common to this genre.


THE SOLUTION

L U S S I E R, working in partnership with the creative team at USA, first produced the Upfront Presentation, which would ultimately do double duty as the first-look trailer for online audiences. The story we told was one of “Occupied Los Angeles”, where the human threat was front and center. Next came the trailer for Comicon, and we infused it with all the sci-fi elements that were absent in the Upfront, adding a new “alien-invasion” dimension to the story. Through the next several months,
L U S S I E R would write, shoot, and produce a half hour behind-the-scenes show, original and clip teases, EPKs, launch spots, episodics, and image spots.
